I'm Speaking at the Digital Accountancy Show

Events

I’m speaking at the Digital Accountancy Show on Thursday 8 October, on a panel called Build Your Own Marketing and Sales Agent for Your Business.

Amy Doughty, Digital Marketing Lead at Bots For That, is hosting, and I’m on it with Grace Hardy, founder of Hardy Accounting.

Neesh has been built AI first from the start, so this is a subject I’ve had to get right rather than theorise about.

The thing I’ll be making the case for is that the output is only ever as good as the context you give it. Ask for a blog about tax planning and you’ll get a blog about tax planning, competent and instantly forgettable, and identical to the one every other firm in your town could generate in the same thirty seconds.

Set it up properly and it can become incredibly powerful. Feed it your positioning, your audience, the actual language your clients use about the problem, and it stops producing content about your service and starts producing content about the person who needs it. You end up mining your own business for the material that was already in there, and putting out work that is specific, useful and recognisable to the clients you actually want.

That’s the difference between saving a bit of time and building something that compounds.

We’ll cover where marketing strategy starts, what changes once AI enters the picture, and what a first agent could realistically look like. It’s deliberately non-technical, but in the age of AI tools, you don’t need to be.

Thursday 8 October, 15:30 to 16:00, AI in Accounting Theatre, ExCeL London.

It’s the last session in that theatre, so there should be time to talk afterwards. Come and find me.
